Overview
The Department of Chemistry was established with the establishment of the college in 1961. It is one of the oldest departments of the college and has a great importance in the history of the college. The Department is known for its Excellency and glorious works. The Department has produced so many Alumni's. Many of them are now the faculty of the department. The department consists of a highly qualified faculty. Many faculty members have produced national and international Journals. Some of the faculty members are also engaged in research in various fields.

The department envisions to become the premier provider for learning, research and innovation in the region fostering intellect, creativity, leadership and character in an active student-centred Learner community.
Mission
To provide students with the fundamental knowledge, foundation for life time of learning of interdisciplinary problem solving skills, scocietal and business awareness, confidence required to excel in their chosen professions, and to be leaders in a global environment.
